This November, we’re proud to be taking part in Will Aid 2025. It’s a nationwide campaign that brings together solicitors across the UK to raise money for charity while helping people put their affairs in order.
What Is Will Aid?
Will Aid is a partnership between the legal profession and eight of the UK’s best-loved charities, including the British Red Cross, NSPCC, and Age UK. During November, participating solicitors waive their fee for writing a basic Will and instead invite clients to make a voluntary donation to Will Aid.
Those donations are then shared between the eight charities, helping them continue their vital work both here in the UK and around the world. Since it began in 1988, Will Aid has raised millions of pounds for good causes while ensuring thousands of people have the security of a professionally drafted Will.
Why Make a Will?
When someone dies without a Will, their estate is divided according to the law, not their personal wishes. That can lead to confusion, delay, and sometimes heartache for those left behind.
Making a Will means you decide who should benefit from your estate and who should take responsibility for dealing with it. It’s especially important if your circumstances are more complex, such as having stepchildren, estranged relatives or a blended family.
